T-Ball is a fun, non-competitive summer activity for children between the ages of 3‒5. Participants take home photos, a shirt, good sportsmanship, and basic T-Ball knowledge.
WHO: Boys and girls age 3 (by 6/1/2012) through age 5 are eligible for t-ball. Boys and girls who are not quite age 3 by 6/1/2012 (those who will turn 3 between 6/2/2012 and 12/31/2012) are eligible for wiffle ball.
For the SAFETY of all children, birth dates will be strictly adhered to.
Please note that you must be a SECPTA member to play. Membership forms are available online at www.solonearlychildhoodpta.com and membership runs from August 2011 to August 2012.
WHERE: Solon Recreation T-Ball Fields (map)
WHEN: TUESDAY evenings, beginning June 6th, for six weeks through July 12, 2012, with a rain date of July 19th, if needed. All games begin at 6:30 pm.
WHY: To practice sharing, teamwork, skills of the game, rules of the game, and to have FUN!!!
COST: $20 per child. The cost will cover t-shirts, equipment, and certificates.
The rules of the game will be followed, but here are just a few bullet points of main interest:
All games are for fun only. We do not keep score and everyone is a winner!
There are no practices, but please arrive a few minutes early to get settled.
Each team player bats twice and each team fields twice. (There is a one-hour limit).
You must return the 2012 Registration Form and your check made payable to SECPTA by April 30, 2012.
