ADOPT A FAMILY

A big THANK YOU to everyone who took Adopt-a-family tags at Tuesday's SECPTA. You helped us to provide two families (8 children) with needed clothing and household items. Your kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated.

SECPTA SERVICE GOALS

Hands –On

We look to participate in service projects that involve our children and parents in hands-on experiences. Our families will work to lessen the burdens of others while gaining an improved appreciation for their own lives and a lifetime appreciation for those people and groups that serve our communities every day.

In 2012, we will be getting our children involved by decorating cards for our service men and women. We will work with our own “Helping Hands” also to support local charities.

Uniting with the Community

Service will work with local organizations like Hearts for Hunger and Ronald McDonald House. We will also work with local schools to find needy families to “adopt” and supply them with basic essentials.

Monthly Meetings

We collect specific items at each monthly meeting that are needed by a charity. Our monthly newsletters contain information on what service items members can contribute. Items may be placed into a collection box at the meeting.
